Car manufacturer Infiniti explores the world of electric cars with its model Emerg-E Concept. Red Bull Formula 1 driver Mark Webber will get behind the wheel of this sports car during the Goodwood Festival of Speed and will show the audience what the Infiniti is capable of…

The Infiniti Emerg-E has two electric motors on board which will power the 402 hp strong machine. The lithium-ion battery’s will hold for 50 kilometres, but probably less with Webber behind the wheel. But he must not fear to get stuck somewhere around the 1,16 mile hill climb course as there is a 1,2 litre three cylinder petrol engine on board that will power the  battery’s when necessary. The Emerg-E Concept is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kph in just four seconds – and from zero to 209 kph in a single, seamless 30 second burst.

The event takes place from 28 June – 1 July 2012.
