The Indian electric car manufacturer Mahindra Reva is among the potential teams to enter the FIA Formula E Championship, that will start from next year September on ten street courses world wide. According to Autocar India, Chetan Maini, Chief of Strategy and Technology at Mahindra Reva has visited Formula E Holdings CEO Alejandro Agag and some car suppliers earlier this year.
Formula E decided to start the championship with 20 one make cars, that have been developed by key manufacturers like Dallara, McLaren, Williams and Renault. However, an even greater potential is that the championship will open up for other constructors one year later, making it possible for Mahindra Reva to participate with their own vehicle.
Possible 2015 entry
Karun Chandhok is named to be one of the possible drivers to compete in Formula E, also after having visited the headquarters in London. An Indian entry like Mahindra Reva would be likely as the series will host an event in the country too. Agag has confirmed that Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore (where Mahindra Reva is located) are on his radar as possible host cities.

When ElectricAutosport.com questioned Mahindra Reva, the electric car manufacturer did not confirm nor dismisses the possibility for FIA Formula E participation.
