Andretti Formula-E Team is ready for the first round of the inaugural FIA Formula E Championship in Beijing. Joining Frank Montagny in the team’s on track duties shall be fellow Frenchman Charles Pic, with Andretti Autosport racer Matthew Brabham in position of reserve driver.

Charles Pic was a winning driver in various formula racing series before he joined the Marussia Virgin Racing Formula 1 Team and raced for Caterham F1 in 2013. This year the 24-year old driver fulfils a reserve role for the Lotus F1 Team. “This is very exciting! Formula E is a new challenge and concept, so there is a lot of excitement; you can feel it throughout the team,” said Charles Pic. I am very much looking forward to being part of the Andretti Formula-E Team family and to the first round of competition in Beijing.”

Live television broadcast coverage will be shown via major broadcasters around the globe. To date, Formula E has already signed multi-year deals with FOX Sports (USA and Canada), ITV in the UK, China’s CCTV-5, Canal+ in France, SKY Deutschland, Spain’s Mediaset and Japan’s TV Asahi with more television rights partners joining soon.
