Video: the sound of a 1100kW electric race car

Rimac Automobili and Nobuhiro “Monster” Tajima have joined forces in an attempt to become the first overall winner of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with an electric vehicle. The ‘race to the clouds’ takes place on Sunday June 28 in Colorado Springs, USA.

The 1100kW powerful race car will be piloted by the Japanese multiple champion. It sprints from 0-100 km/h in a stunning 2,2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 270 km/h. The vehicle has a 57 kWh Rimac Automobili battery pack on board, producing a maximum power of 1100kW. Maximum regenerative braking has been set at 400kW.

Before its preparation at the track a dyno run was conducted recently. Listen to the impressive sound of an 1100kW electric race car.
