ACCIONA 100% EcoPowered will be the first electric vehicle to participate in a FIA World Cup event.

After being the first completing the Dakar Rally with an electric vehicle last January, the Spanish team now enters the Italian Baja: a FIA World Cup round for Cross Country Rallies.

The 24th edition of the Italian Baja will be held between 15 and 18 June 2017 and will be made up of three 800-kilometre stages in the north-west Italy. This year, the event will include a special category for electric vehicles in which the team’s 250kW strong rally car will participate in. It will be the only zero emissions vehicle competing in this round.

The car will be piloted by women Andrea Peterhansel from Germany (pilot) and France’s Emma Clair (co-pilot). Ariel Jatón remains to fulfil the role as technical director.
