Audi has unveiled the colours of its factory team for the upcoming season in Formula E. Reigning champion Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt – new Audi factory racer – have been retained as drivers and Allan McNish has become the new team principal.

Audi completed the takeover of the Abt team in July and although it’s not the only manufacturer involved in Formula E, it will be the first full works race team in the electric racing series.

The livery of two Audi e-tron FE04 vehicles features mostly white and green. Abt has received an extra layer of red to distinguish his car from di Grassi’s. The green relates to Audi’s technical partner Schaeffler.

“Together with our technology partner Schaeffler, we have developed a completely new powertrain. You can immediately tell this by looking at the new carbon housing of the powertrain. The car also sounds different because we’re pursuing new avenues in technology”, said Dieter Gass, Head of Audi Motorsport.

He does not doubt on the possibility of a break through of electric racing. And that deserves a platform to keep up to date and to interact. Tim operates on behalf of Formula Blue Media.
