The calendar for the 2017-18 FIA Formula E Championship was approved by the World Motor Sport Council in Paris today, featuring four historic new events, and the important return to circuit racing in Switzerland on the streets of Zurich for the first time since it was banned in 1955.

After the double-header event in Hong Kong early December, Marrakesh hosts the second event followed by a race in Santiago that now has been confirmed. Mexico City will stage a race for the third time, scheduled in March. Two weeks later, Formula E will travel to Sao Paulo which is the second new addition to the calendar.

The European tour starts 14 April in Rome, which makes its first appearance on the calendar as it was initially announced as one of the first cities in season 1. It is followed by Paris. Despite uncertainty earlier, Berlin wil host the German round on 19 May. Zurich is the final event in Europe before the electric racing series travels to New York and Montreal.
