After three days of collective testing, Renault e.dams driver Nico Prost doesn’t think that a particular team has an edge over the others.

Renault e.dams clinched the teams’ title in all three seasons and obviously hopes to dominate in season 4. After three days of testing at Valencia last week, the Frenchman believes that the season will be very competitive.

His team mate Sebastien Buemi recorded the second best time during the final two days after he topped the second day. Only NIO’s Oliver Turvey was slightly faster on day 3. Prost took ninth on the opening day and eight in the following days.

“We have been efficient during these three days and have been able to learn a lot”, Prost concluded. “We don’t feel a team stands out from the crowd so even if we know the season will be tough, we have our chances to be up near the top.”

Buemi also confirmed that the test days were not used solely to trial the car, but to prepare the vehicles and the team as much as possible for the opening round in Hong Kong in December. “We learned as much as possible on a circuit which is slightly different to what we see in Formula E. It’s not usual to have four cars during testing days so we had the opportunity to run in some pieces for the first ePrix in Hong Kong. I am pleased with these three days, we didn’t have major issues.

“We were not only focused on the performance of the car, but assessed other areas as well. We are not very far ahead but we know we can fight for good positions. We will remain focused until Hong Kong and see what happens there.”
