Venturi will start the fourth Formula E season with two Mercedes DTM drivers. Maro Engel has been retained and now joined by Edoardo Mortara.

The Monegasque team evaluated the drivers during the official pre-season tests in which Mortara took part, just as James Rossiter and development driver Michael Benyahia. The team chose for the 30-year-old DTM driver who raced the majority of his touring car career for Audi before he switched to Mercedes in 2017. But the latter announced to stop its touring car programme by the end of 2018.

At this time there is only one vacant seat. Andretti has yet to confirm its second driver who will be partnering Antonio Felix da Costa.
