Daniel Abt has lost Sunday’s Formula E victory in Hong Kong after his car didn’t pass the technical inspection.

The infringement was related to barcode stickers on the inverter and the MGU. These did not match with those in the cars’ technical passport. It would have been Abt’s first win in the series.

Because of the disqualification Felix Rosenqvist has been handed the victory while Edoardo Mortara moved up to second place. Mitch Evans has been promoted to the podium, the first ever in the series for Jaguar.

Sam Bird now leads the championship and has collected the 35 points. The Saturday race winner has two more points than Jean-Eric Vergne.
